About Poople
Poople is an independent web helper for a daily four-letter word-ladder game: start with one word, change one letter at a time, and reach POOP.
What Poople provides
Poople gives players a playable daily board, spoiler-safe hints, one-step help, full route reveals, a solver, unlimited practice, answer archives, challenge links, leaderboards, and moderated post-game notes. The goal is to make the game easier to replay, study, and share without turning every page into an instant spoiler.
Where puzzle data comes from
Each daily start word and puzzle number is recorded from the public game only after that board appears. Poople.run keeps no copied future schedule. If the current observation cannot be verified, the daily board fails closed instead of substituting a different word.
How route analysis is calculated
The solver builds its local graph from the open-licensed SCOWL English word list, with the required copyright and permission notice included here. Two words connect only when they differ in one position, and breadth-first search finds shortest routes to POOP. Historical tools recompute legal first moves, route counts, detour costs, letter changes, and branch options from this graph.
Word-list version and daily boundary
Our base is SCOWL rel-2026.02.25, American English at size 60 or lower and variant level 1, restricted to the four-letter component that reaches POOP. Its word-list SHA-256 is 17bcd5750cb6c672913ae470fde90ef1fc532b141f5a12f9c27e3049271ad1c2. A wider SCOWL pool can supply a minimal bridge for an observed daily start; it is not accepted wholesale. The source puzzle day changes at 08:00 UTC (16:00 China Standard Time). Today and Yesterday name their active snapshot; Solver, Unlimited, and challenge tools use the deployed graph snapshot.
Observing an official starting word does not make our dictionary or route official. This site's accepted words and shortest routes may differ from poople.io. Our interface translations keep the game words in English. The share-card QR encoder uses Kazuhiko Arase's MIT-licensed QR Code Generator.
Page and correction approach
Each retained page has one player task: play, get a non-spoiler clue, calculate a route, validate a move, replay an old puzzle, inspect real community results, or understand a site policy. If a source update or calculation looks wrong, send the puzzle date, number, and page URL to contact@poople.run so it can be reproduced and corrected.
Community and moderation
Poople includes public leaderboard names, solve stats, reactions, and player notes. New player notes stay pending until human review; only approved notes are public. Community submissions are filtered for spam, unsafe names, links, personal attacks, explicit content, and other policy risks. Players can report comments, and reported notes are removed from public display while they are reviewed.
Independence and affiliation
Poople.run is an independent fan-built helper site and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the operator of poople.io. It is not Google, an AdSense help site, or an official support channel for another publisher. Product names are used only to identify the game, data source, or service being discussed.
