Poople Word List

The Poople word list decides which four-letter words can be used on the board. A word also has to change exactly one tile from your current row, so a real word can still fail if it does not fit the route.

Accepted words must fit the current row

Every move has two checks: the word must be in the accepted list, and it must differ from the previous word by exactly one letter. If your guess changes two letters, it is rejected even if the word itself is common.

Bridge words worth remembering

Useful Poople bridge words include POMP, PLOP, TONE, TOME, POME, RAMS, RAMP, ROMP, APES, APED, SLED, and PLED. These examples show up in clean routes or connect difficult starts toward a POOP-friendly ending.

Why a word can fail

The most common reasons are simple: too many letters, more than one changed tile, a repeat word, or a word outside the current list. Read the feedback, back up to your last legal row, and try a more familiar bridge.

Use families instead of memorizing everything

You do not need to memorize every accepted word. Learn small route families instead: words that move toward POMP, words that move toward PLOP, and words that create a one-letter finish into POOP.
